Which Cycle Should You Be Tracking?

I’ve noticed an interesting trend lately.

Linking women’s monthly cycles to productivity. I have seen several articles about it, including publications like Forbes. I suspect it’s related to recent interest in discovering your female energy and doing business in a feminine manner.

Here’s the gist:

When hormones are released at the beginning of the cycle, energy may be low; concentration is on rest and planning.

Near the end of your period, the follicular stage brings a burst of energy and productivity. Here is where you can multi-task and step into more masculine energy.

Ovulation is your superstar time when communication and leadership skills peak; you are more emotionally available (yet level-headed) and confident.

The final luteal stage brings creativity and new thought patterns as your brain is in a naturally meditative state.

Some of this sounds feasible, and some seems a little far out. But as a woman of a certain age, I have no way to judge.

I asked several authors of these articles about this and had one who answered me: Jessica Dimas from Dwell In Magic.

Jessica led me to track my moods and feelings through the month to see if I could discover my cycle through the moon.

I started last month, and I’m surprised.

I haven’t gone into depth with it, but I have noticed a definite trend towards anger and crabbiness (as my husband calls it) in the week leading up to the full moon.

And I’ve always loved full moons!

I’m not sure about the rest of it, but I’m giving this a closer look.
