Meditation’s Benefits Make it Worth Your Time

I know; you can’t meditate.

All that clearing your mind is impossible. First, that’s not true, and second, there are so many benefits. Why wouldn’t you keep trying?

Meditation is like a lot of other things.

You try to read a book or watch tv, and someone interrupts you. You stop, deal with it, and go back to what you were doing.

It’s the same with meditation.

You’re not trying to clear your mind. That’s not possible. Instead, you’re trying to focus on one thing. When thoughts intrude, notice them, and go back to focusing.

Start small with a guided meditation and keep trying until you find something you like. You can even do a walking meditation.

The benefits of meditation make it worth your effort.

Not only does it give you a sense of peace and calm, but it can clarify your thinking, improve your memory, and help you focus.

It can make you more productive because you’ve taken the time to slow down and clear your head for a moment. You will be more relaxed and energized. Meditation can also lower your stress and increase your creativity.

LeBron James uses meditation on the court to keep himself focused during a game. You may see him stop briefly and close his eyes just for a few seconds.

A lot of professional athletes and successful CEOs meditate as well.
